Chiropractic Care

What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?
A chiropractic adjustment helps move a joint beyond its usual range to guide it back into place naturally. A Frisco chiropractor can perform this treatment to improve flexibility and function, especially in the spine.

Why Might You Need One?
Chiropractic care is great for relieving back pain, neck pain, and headaches—especially frustrating low back pain. Chiropractors believe in your body's natural ability to heal, and adjustments help correct bone structure and posture to support that healing.

What to Expect
Adjustments typically focus on the spine, neck, and shoulders. On your first visit, we’ll go over your medical history and examine the affected area—X-rays may be needed. The chiropractor will position you carefully and apply gentle, controlled force to move the joint. You might hear a popping sound, but that's normal! Over time, as your body adjusts, the popping stops. Pain is rare and usually mild for those who struggle to relax during the process.

Depending on your needs, we may also recommend additional therapies like acupuncture, cupping, decompression, or massage.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture

Acupuncture, a key part of traditional Chinese medicine, is commonly used for pain relief. While considered nontraditional, it can help those who haven’t found relief with standard chiropractic treatments. Dr Tieperman is trained in acupuncture and can assist with chronic back and neck pain, as well as other musculoskeletal issues.

How It Works - In Chinese medicine, acupuncture balances your body's energy by inserting needles at specific points. Western medicine sees it as stimulating nerves and muscles to boost natural pain relief.

What Acupuncture Can Help With - TMJ Pain, Migraines, Tennis Elbow, Musculoskeletal Pain from Labor, Chemotherapy & Menstrual Cramps, Osteoporosis, Headaches, Fibromyalgia, Low Back Pain, Other Musculoskeletal Ailments and more!

What to Expect - Your first visit will be longer as we assess your symptoms, lifestyle, and overall health. This may include checking your tongue color, pulse, and pain areas. During treatment, 5-20 thin needles may be placed, sometimes away from the actual pain site. You may feel slight aching, but discomfort is minimal due to the needle size. Chiropractors may also use heat, mild electric pulses, or manual techniques to enhance the effects. Sessions last around 30 minutes, and needle removal is painless.
